Predictive maintenance thanks to valuable additional information

The radar pulse generator is based on the latest standard and detects people or objects approaching an escalator. Its rolling mechanism is thus activated only when needed, resulting in reduced wear and increased energy efficiency. Additionally, passenger occupancy is recorded by counting operating hours and weight. These additional data allow maintenance intervals and service deployments to be planned based on usage.

If users also wish to analyze passenger traffic depending on the time of day and direction of movement, this is also possible with the radar pulse generator.

Safe escalator usage

The radar pulse generator detects people and objects in the access area of the escalator, ensuring its timely start. The device can be mounted both at the upper and lower access areas and only on one side of the access zone. Installers benefit from greater flexibility and significantly reduced workload. Once the sensor is installed in the escalator's cladding, it is no longer visible to passers-by, effectively preventing tampering and vandalism.
