The E.D.S.F. Energy Label sets new standards

Our industry association, the German Door and Gate Association (BVT), has announced a significant development for the entire door and gate industry. After several years of development, the E.D.S.F. Energy Label, which is recognized throughout Europe, has been officially launched.
This new standard makes it possible for the first time to provide a transparent and comparable assessment of door systems based on their energy performance. Planners, operators, and investors now have an objective basis for comparing different door solutions, including from the perspective of energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency is becoming a key selection criterion

Industrial and logistics doors have a much greater impact on a building’s energy balance than is often assumed. Especially in high-traffic facilities, even small differences in design and usage can have a significant effect on energy consumption.

Relevant factors include:
- Heat loss during door opening hours
- Intensity of use in daily operations
- Sustainability and operating cost requirements

The new E.D.S.F. Energy Label provides transparency in this area and helps companies make energy-efficient decisions based on a uniform evaluation framework.

The introduction of the label clearly demonstrates how the requirements for modern door systems are changing. Whereas functionality and safety used to be the primary focus, energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness are now becoming increasingly important.

Effizienter Vertrieb über unseren Webshop

Seit 2019 bieten wir ausgewählte Produkte der Trafficon-Serie von MTC direkt über unseren Webshop an. Damit schaffen wir für Unternehmen im Bus- und Bahnsektor – insbesondere für Werkstätten und Servicebetriebe – eine einfache Möglichkeit, Ersatzteile und kleinere Stückzahlen schnell zu beziehen. Unser Fokus liegt dabei auf einem reibungslosen Bestellprozess und kurzen Lieferzeiten, um gerade bei dringenden Einsätzen optimal zu unterstützen.

Aktuelles Angebot und zukünftige Erweiterungen

Derzeit umfasst unser Sortiment im Webshop Verkehrstechnik-Sensoren der Trafficon-Serie, die vor allem im öffentlichen Nahverkehr eingesetzt werden. Parallel dazu arbeiten wir daran, unser Portfolio gezielt auszubauen. In Zukunft sollen auch Lösungen aus dem Bereich Gebäudesicherheit, wie die Auto²Scan Unterboden-Kontrollsysteme, über unsere Plattform verfügbar sein.

Gebündelte Entwicklungskompetenz für innovative Lösungen

Als Sensotek bringen wir unsere Erfahrung in der Entwicklung moderner Sensorik ein, insbesondere im Bereich Entrance Automation. Dazu zählen unter anderem Sicherheitssensoren, messende 2-D-Radarsensoren sowie intelligentes Zubehör. MTC ergänzt diese Kompetenzen mit ihrer Spezialisierung auf Türraumüberwachungssysteme für Bus und Bahn.

Auch wenn beide Unternehmen eigenständig agieren, verbindet uns ein gemeinsames Ziel: die Entwicklung leistungsfähiger, sicherer und zukunftsorientierter Sensorlösungen.
