The selection of the ideal door sensor depends on numerous factors. In addition to primary safety aspects, the criteria range from technical details and commissioning effort to design questions. With the new "ShieldScan®", Pepperl+Fuchs has realized everything that is technically and economically sensible today. The latest-generation Time-of-Flight sensor operates without rotating parts and is housed in a compact enclosure with an attractive design that can be discreetly placed in the door corner. The device is suitable for securing automatic doors up to 1800 mm wide and 3500 mm high.
