The RL80 was specifically developed for the detection of people, objects, and vehicles at gates. Applications include gates in both indoor and outdoor areas, as well as barrier systems.

Key features include extreme detection reliability on reflective surfaces at close range. Reliable suppression of vehicles or people passing the sensor in immediate proximity is thus enabled. This prevents false triggering and unwanted gate or barrier openings.

With energy-independent distance detection, reliable suppression is achieved even with highly reflective surfaces or reflective films on work clothing.

The well-thought-out sensor design of the reflective light barrier allows for both side and front mounting on metal or concrete pillars, offering highly flexible adjustability with mechanical rotation adjustment. The adjustable range of 360° horizontally and ±2° vertically is made possible by this housing.

Function of the test input:

For testing, the transmitter is switched off at 0 V or with an open test input. For operation, the operating voltage must therefore be applied to the test input (white)!
